Philip Routhan is a young man who seems to me to epitomise all that is best in New Zealand business enterprise.--By dint of hard work, innovation and a determination to beat the odds, he has built up a thriving business from the most modest of beginnings.

His abilities were recognised when he was named the 1995 New Zealand Young Executive of the Year and I took personal pleasure in commending him to the judges of the 1996 World Young Business Achiever Awards.--To the surprise of no one who knows him, Philip proved a splendid ambassador for New Zealand at this international event, winning the coveted Award for Management Excellence.
