Plumber takes world top executive award

Phil Routhan (pictured below), New Zealand’s Young Executive of the Year 1995, has won one of four top prizes in the Worldcom World Young Business Achiever Award, held in Belfast.

Routhan has scooped the Management Excellence Award.--The Hokitika plumber with eight staff and a million dollar turnover, has taken on international giants and won.

“To win at a World Final says it all,” he says.--“It doesn’t matter where you are from, or what you do, you can still make it.”
